Added Home Value And Curb Appeal
A coated garage floor doesn’t just benefit you day-to-day — it can also increase the overall value of your home. Buyers appreciate clean, low-maintenance spaces, and a finished garage creates a positive first impression that sets your home apart.
Advantages of Our Garage Floor Coating System
Whether you need a residential garage floor coating system or a durable finish for your retail space, our chip system offers the features and benefits you’re looking for:
- Durability Unlike an epoxy garage floor coating, our chip system uses polyurea—a material that’s much stronger and more flexible. With a polyurea base coat and topcoat, our chip flooring is resistant to abrasions, chemicals, and UV damage.
- Safety Made up of small vinyl chips, this flooring system finishes with a light, orange peel-like texture, adding slip resistance and extra grip to promote safe use.
- Style The vinyl chips can be custom-blended into nearly any color, allowing your new garage floor to match your existing décor!
- Convenience Our chip flooring can be installed in as little as one day by our trained and certified flooring experts.
- Coverage Our chip system is backed by a lifetime warranty, as well as a 15-year product warranty on residential projects – so you won’t ever have to worry about the long-term quality of your floor.
Why Choose A Chip System
Our chip system offers the perfect balance of strength and style. Built with a durable polyurea basecoat and sealed with a protective topcoat, these floors are designed to withstand heavy traffic while adding a decorative touch. The embedded vinyl chips create a custom look that transforms plain concrete into a polished, functional surface.
Built For High-Traffic Areas
The chip system is one of our most popular coatings because it works everywhere. From garages and basements to showrooms and schools, this flooring option delivers dependable performance where it’s needed most. It’s designed to handle constant foot traffic, vehicle weight, and daily wear without fading or cracking.

More about garage floor coatings
Why Reno garages need more than a can of epoxy
A Reno garage lives a hard life. From November to March, NDOT spreads magnesium chloride on I-80, US-395, and the McCarran loop, and every drive home brings a little brine back on your tires. That brine soaks into bare concrete, freezes overnight, and slowly pops the surface off in flakes and pits.
Summer brings the opposite problem. A west-facing garage with the door open can see slab temperatures well above 100 degrees, and hot tires pulling in off the road soften cheap coatings until they lift. Store-bought epoxy kits are rolled onto acid-etched or unprepared concrete, so they sit on top of the slab instead of bonding into it. That is why so many DIY floors peel in the first year.
How our one-day flake system is built
Every garage starts with a diamond grinder connected to a HEPA dust extractor. Grinding removes the weak top layer of concrete and opens a profile the base coat can lock into. We then chase and fill cracks, patch pitting, and grind the repairs flush.
Next comes a flexible pigmented base coat, followed by decorative vinyl flake broadcast by hand until no base coat shows through. Once it sets, we scrape off loose chips, vacuum, and roll on a clear polyaspartic topcoat. Polyaspartic cures in hours instead of days and stays clear in sunlight, which is why we can finish in one visit.
Choosing a flake blend
Flake comes in dozens of blends, from tight gray-and-black mixes to warm tan and earth tones that match stucco and stone. Mid-tone blends hide dust and tire marks best. We bring physical samples to your estimate so you can see them in your own light next to your cabinets and walls, rather than guessing from a screen.
Benefits of garage floor coatings
Hides dirt and wear
Full-broadcast flake disguises dust, tire marks, and the small scuffs a working garage collects.
Won’t yellow in the sun
Polyaspartic topcoats are UV-stable, so floors near an open door stay their true color through Nevada summers.
Shrugs off winter chemicals
Resists the magnesium chloride and road salt that drip off cars every Reno winter and eat bare concrete.
Grip where you need it
We tune the texture so the floor is easy to sweep but not slick when snowmelt runs off a tire.

FAQ
Garage Floor Coatings questions
Straight answers about garage floor coatings from our Reno installers.
Don't see your question?
Talk to the crew that will actually coat your floor. We answer the phone Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm.
How long until I can park on it?
Light foot traffic the same evening, vehicles in about 24 hours. We confirm timing for your slab and the day’s temperature before we leave.
Will hot tires lift the coating?
Hot-tire pickup happens when coatings sit on a poorly prepared slab. We diamond-grind every floor so the coating bonds into the concrete, not on top of it.
Can you coat a brand-new slab?
New concrete needs to cure, usually about 28 days. We test moisture before we install.
Can you coat over my old epoxy?
If the old coating is peeling or poorly bonded, we grind it off first. Coating over a failing layer just means the new floor fails with it.
Is a flake floor slippery when wet?
Flake adds natural texture. For garages that see a lot of snowmelt, we can add a fine anti-slip additive to the topcoat.
How is polyaspartic different from epoxy?
Polyaspartic cures much faster, stays clear in UV light instead of ambering, and stays more flexible in cold weather. It is the reason we can finish in one day.
Do I need to empty the garage?
Yes. Please clear the floor, including shelving on the ground, the night before. We can coat around fixed cabinets.
