More about quartz floor coatings

Built for floors that get wet every day

Kitchen lines, dish areas, locker rooms, and restrooms are washed down constantly. Tile and grout eventually crack and trap bacteria, and bare or sealed concrete gets slick and stained. Quartz gives you a single seamless surface with built-in grip, so water, grease, and cleaning chemicals stay on top where they can be squeegeed to a drain.

Quartz aggregate is extremely hard, which is why these floors hold up to carts, foot traffic, and daily scrubbing for a long time. The colored granules also give a pleasant speckled look that hides minor scuffs.

Integral cove base for health inspections

Where the floor meets the wall is where grime collects. We can run the quartz system up the wall a few inches in a smooth radius, called an integral cove base. It removes the corner seam entirely and makes wash-down simple, which is why Washoe County health inspectors like to see it in food-service spaces.

Tuning texture to the room

Texture is a balance between grip and cleanability. A commercial kitchen line might need an aggressive texture, while a residential mud room or locker room can use a finer profile that is easier to mop. We adjust the grout coat and topcoat thickness to land in the right spot for how you use the space.
