Nano Coatings for Concrete & Asphalt
Clear GoNano protection for driveways, walkways and lots
4.9 from 108 Google reviewsNano Coatings for Concrete & Asphalt at a glance
A nano coating is a clear, penetrating sealer that bonds inside concrete or asphalt rather than sitting on top of it. On concrete it cuts surface water absorption dramatically, which slows spalling from freeze-thaw and mag chloride. On asphalt it blocks water and oil, restores a darker color, and slows cracking. Most jobs take one to two days, and you can drive on the surface again within about 24 to 48 hours.

Not every slab needs a full floor system. For driveways, walkways, patios and asphalt that live outside, we apply GoNano, a clear penetrating nano coating that soaks into the surface and makes water, snowmelt, oil and de-icers bead up and roll off instead of soaking in. Your concrete keeps its natural look, your asphalt gets its dark color back, and both hold up far better to Northern Nevada freeze-thaw.

More about nano coatings for concrete & asphalt
Why bare concrete and asphalt break down here
Reno and Sparks swing from hard winter freezes to triple-digit summer sun. Bare concrete soaks up snowmelt and road salt, the water freezes and expands, and the surface starts to flake and pit. Mag chloride dripping off cars speeds that up every winter.
Asphalt fails a different way. UV dries out the binder, the surface turns gray and brittle, and water finds its way into hairline cracks. One freeze later, those cracks are wider, and eventually they become potholes.
Concrete: protection without changing the look
On concrete driveways, walkways, patios and pool decks, GoNano penetrates the pores and leaves a super-hydrophobic surface. Independent testing showed a 96.3% reduction in surface water absorption on treated concrete. Less water in the slab means less freeze-thaw damage, less staining and less spalling.
Because it is clear and penetrating, it does not add a glossy film or change the color of your concrete. If you want a decorative, high-gloss finish instead, that is what our flake and metallic floor systems are for.
Asphalt: a longer-lasting alternative to sealcoating
Traditional sealcoat sits on top of asphalt and wears off quickly. A nano coating works into the surface, restoring a rich dark color while blocking water, UV and automotive fluids. It also helps the asphalt stay flexible in the heat instead of turning brittle.
We coat residential driveways, long private drives, HOA paths, parking lots and recreational courts.
Benefits of nano coatings for concrete & asphalt
Stops water and ice at the surface
Water, snowmelt and ice-melt bead up and run off, which protects against freeze-thaw cracking, spalling and frost heave.
Resists mag chloride, oil and gas
De-icing salts and automotive fluids have a harder time soaking in, so stains and chemical damage are far less likely.
UV protection for high-desert sun
Keeps asphalt from fading and drying out, and helps concrete hold up to summer heat.
Easier to keep clean
Rain helps rinse dirt off the coated surface, so you pressure-wash less often.
Optional slip-resistant grit
For pool decks, entries and sloped drives, we can add a grit additive for better traction when wet.
Cheaper than resurfacing
Protecting the surface you have now delays the cost of tearing out concrete or repaving asphalt.

FAQ
Nano Coatings for Concrete & Asphalt questions
Straight answers about nano coatings for concrete & asphalt from our Reno installers.
Don't see your question?
Talk to the crew that will actually coat your floor. We answer the phone Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm.
Will a nano coating change how my concrete looks?
No. On concrete it is clear and penetrating, so the slab keeps its natural color and texture. It does not leave a glossy film.
Will it make my asphalt look new again?
It restores a darker, more even color that looks much closer to fresh asphalt, along with protecting the surface.
Is this the same as asphalt sealcoating?
No. Sealcoat is a surface layer that wears off fairly quickly. A nano coating penetrates the surface for deeper, longer-lasting protection against water, UV and chemicals.
How long does it last?
With normal care, concrete coatings can last up to 10 years or more, and asphalt coatings typically last 5 to 7 years, depending on traffic and exposure.
How is this different from your garage floor coatings?
Our garage systems are a thick decorative floor: ground, coated, flaked and topcoated. A nano coating is a clear protective treatment for outdoor concrete and asphalt where you want to keep the original look.
Do you fix cracks first?
Yes. We clean the surface and fill cracks before coating. Larger structural damage may need repair or replacement first, and we will tell you at the estimate.
When can I drive on it?
Most surfaces are ready for foot and vehicle traffic within about 24 to 48 hours.
