What to Expect on Garage Coating Install Day

A step-by-step look at a one-day garage floor install, from clearing the space to parking the car.

Installer grinding a garage slab

Most of our residential garages are finished in a single visit. Here is how the day usually goes.

The night before: clear it out

Move cars, bikes, storage bins, and anything on the floor. Fixed cabinets can stay. If you have a garage fridge or freezer, we will talk through moving it.

Morning: protect and grind

We arrive, protect walls and doors, and diamond-grind the slab with dust-controlled equipment connected to HEPA vacuums.

Midday: repair and coat

Cracks and pits get filled, then the base coat goes down and we broadcast decorative flake by hand until the floor is fully covered.

Afternoon: scrape and topcoat

Loose flake is scraped and vacuumed, and the clear polyaspartic topcoat is rolled on. We do a final walkthrough with you before we leave.

Evening and next day

Light foot traffic that evening. Park in about 24 hours, depending on temperature. We will confirm timing before we go.
