What affects the cost of a garage floor coating in Northern Nevada
The short answer
A garage floor coating quote in Reno or Sparks is driven mostly by square footage, the condition of the concrete, how much crack and spall repair is needed, and which coating system and finish you choose. Every Battle Born estimate is free and done on site, because the slab itself decides most of the price.

1. Size and layout
Larger floors cost more in total but usually less per square foot, because setup, grinding equipment, and travel are spread across more area. Odd layouts, steps, and curbs add hand-detail time.
2. Slab condition and repairs
Cracks, pitting, and mag chloride spalling all need to be chased, filled, and ground flush before coating. A newer slab in Damonte Ranch or Somersett may need little repair, while an older Sparks or Sun Valley slab with years of salt damage can need much more.
Old coatings, paint, or sealers must be ground off completely, which adds time.
3. Moisture
Concrete that pushes moisture up from below can lift any coating. If our test shows high vapor, a moisture-mitigating primer is added. It is extra cost up front, and it prevents the most expensive kind of failure.
4. Coating system and finish
Full-broadcast flake with a polyaspartic topcoat, metallic epoxy, quartz, solid color, and polyurea shop systems each use different materials and labor. Add-ons like a cove base up the wall, extra topcoats for heavy use, or a custom flake blend also change the quote.
5. What is not worth saving on
Skipping diamond grinding is the most common way low quotes save money, and it is the most common reason floors peel. Ask any installer how they prep the slab and what their warranty covers before comparing numbers.
